Day of the Surgery

It is my understanding that I will be having a surgery today. However, this is Viet Nam. In Viet Nam, things change. Especially for people who don't fully understand the culture. Also, this is a health-care situation. These folks are awesome and deserve our gratitude. At the same time, they deal with so much and try to express, clarify, convey, and share so much that it can be confusing as to what is REALLY going to happen. Add to that the dimension of language and things certainly can become a little "cloudy".

So today, I put my trust in my dear Father above. He knows what is going to happen, needs to happen, and I am grateful for His providence.

Also, I am thankful for the people He has put in my life for the duration to help me to get through this time. Their support has been phenominal and a humbling experience as to how much I am cared for.
Sometimes Life is like those storms that come through. Tough, unexpected (even with weather reports!) and "dumping" tons of rain on us.....

Sometimes Life is like a walk on the beach, or a walk along the water-side on a beautiful, clear, sunny day.....

Let's remember though:

The rains bring cleaning, water, washing away of old, preparation for new; storms force us to "take cover", to SLOW down while in traffic, to reconsider our plans for the day........

The clear sunny day can burn your bald head pretty bad! You can potentially get heat-stroke, along the rocks and beaches there are numerous dangers to be aware of....

So, I guess it is this: It's a matter of perspective. His perspective! Cheers.
