Meaningless?..NO!! Full of Meaning!

"He sets a time for sorrow and a time for joy, the time for mourning and the time for dancing" Ecclesiastes 3:4

Whether it's sorrow over our seeming inability to do anything for the people in Haiti or our sorrow over the loss of a loved one, or pet. It could even be stretched to maybe include the sorrow we feel when our team loses or our when our T.V. show gets postponed due to the President's State of the Union. Depending on your outlook on life, sorrow can take on many forms.

Joy can also look different to different people. For some, joy can best be seen by an outward expression of lots of smiles and laughter. For others, the joy they know is a deep down passionate fulfillment which may never make it's way to the suface. Deep within, though - the person who has this joyful heart - is a boastful soul willingly ready to live out the commandments of "Love your God and Love your Neighbor". Joy for them takes on the meaning of: Jesus-Others-You and is so overwhelming and unexplainable.

I have laughed hard and have cried hard. And I pray that I fully experience the range of emotions which my Father in heaven has given. Praise be to God for my parents and their ancestors. I have such a wealth of history and family "lore"(?). It is my hope to learn more, know, understand and share these thoughts, feelings, and blessings with others. Also, I pray to totally experience all of those emotions he "hard-wired" into my DNA when I was conceived and then formed in my mother's womb.

Take from later in Chapter 3 of Ecclesiastes (verses 9-14):
"What do we gain from all our work?
I know the heavey burdens that God has laid on us.
He has set the right time for everyting. He has given us a desire to know the future, but never gives us the satisfaction of fully understanding what He does.
So I realized that all we can do is be happy and do the best we can while we are still alive.
All of us should eat and drink and enjoy what we have worked for. It is God's gift.
I know that everything God does will last forever. You can't add anything to it or take anything away from it. And one thing God does is to make us stand in awe of him.
"

Stand in Awe of God Today - Praise Him for His Love, His all-knowing plan....
