The Lessons Keep Piling Up

Dear Family and Friends,

This evening is another example of how things work with me. There are a lot of different ways I could spend my time, but I make choices. Now, I must buckle down and get my coursework done. Currently, I am taking a class on "Teaching English as Foreign Language". The certification is work. That means I must stop wasting my time (as well as My Boss's time, and my student's, colleagues, and the university where I will be serving) with many side matters.

But, since I have your attention and it's not like my life has been one big "waste of time", I want to share with you how impressed I am with the Olympics and channels like Discovery. These make media and television worthwhile. And even now, I am watching some cartoons, it's good to get back to the "kid again"!!!
Also, I got a new friend, a younger brother. (Can't really call him little, because he's much taller than I am!) Here is Carl Myrhe (pronounced My-ree)
As I sort out my various work assignments, the different web-based ways of communication that I am using: here at Blogger; Myspace; Facebook. I also believe I have a blog of some sort with Yahoo! Then there are the pictures to be sharing which I think I still have at flickr or some other photo-sharing website....Soon I WILL have details that will help you to have more insight into my world at this time!

Oh yeah, as for the photos. Here are some of the leg that is injured. Definitely keeps me going at a "gingerly" pace. Throw back to the "pimp limp" when I walk now!
Inside of the left thigh.

Down the inside of the thigh and behind the left knee.

Fortunately I have a great care-taker/nurse in Jacqueline!! Also, what I am going through is so MINUTE, So EASY compared to what so many families are facing as floods have torn through the northern provinces here in Vietnam. They are in some tough times. Thousands of homes have been destroyed and some families have been effected. One of those provinces was Phu Tho, that is where I will be working for this next year. Please hold them close to your heart and take your thoughts to our Guide and Master Teacher!

Until the next entry, keep growing in the SON and enjoying the SUN!
